It has been widely publicized on our website and through the media that with effect from 15th November 2007 the fees for Visa and Consular Services would be accepted only by bank draft / postal money order in favour of ‘CONSULATE GENERAL OF INDIA, VANCOUVER’ and that cash would not be accepted from that date.  It appears that some members of the public are still unaware of the new arrangement. It is hereby reiterated that cash payment is not acceptable for services mentioned above. 

2.       The fees payable for various services are mentioned in the Consulate’s website <www.cgivancouver.com>   For easy reference, relevant fees for some of the frequently sought services are mentioned below:

(i)      Renewal of Passport                                      $ 65.00

(ii)     Passport of children below 18 years               $ 45.00

(iii)    Lost/destroyed passport                               $205.00

(iv)     Police Clearance Certificate for Indian $  20.00

          passport holders                                                    

(v)      Police Clearance Certificate for other            $ 32.00

          nationals                                                     

(vi)     Authentication of Indian Driver’s Licence       $ 20.00

(vii)    Attestation of educational degrees, Power      $ 16.00

          of  Attorney not involving assets                   

(viii)   Attestation of documents relating to              $ 32.00

          property matters

(ix)    Tourist visa for 6 months                              $  62.00

(x)     5 years visa for persons of Indian origin        $200.00     

(xi)     Business visa for one year                             $100.00

(xii)    Transfer of visa from old passport to            $   8.00

          the new passport   

(xiii)  PIO Card                                                     $480.00

(xvi)   PIO Card for minors below 18 years              $240.00
