At the invitation of Government of India, Dr. Arun Garg, a well-known Canadian of Indian origin in British Columbia, will be visiting India from 24^th February 2008 to 2^nd March 2008 under the Distinguished Visitors Programme 2007-08.   He is the first Canadian to visit India under this Programme.  As Chairman of the India Marketing Advisory Group(IMAG) set up by the Government of BC,  Dr. Garg made commendable contribution in making a number of pertinent recommendations for expanding cooperation between British Columbia and India in the economic,  commercial and educational fields.

2.        In India, he is expected to meet senior Government officials, Chairman, University Grants Commission(UGC) and will have interactions with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry(FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry(CII), and major hospitals and policy planning Institutes in the areas of Health and Education.
